So today at work (I work so hard) I finished 'Feet of Clay', which I started reading because lazenich told me to, after falling in love with the City Watch and a certain Sam Vimes in particular.

For one thing, pinkishmew was talking about quotations, the other day, that would make a good tattoo, and this line really jumped out at me: "Words in the heart cannot be taken" - in fact, that line completely choked me up at work today. Honestly, you're an emotional mess when a Discworld book makes you cry.

I love Vimes. Have I mentioned that yet? In a way, I don't want to love him, because he's such an obvious character to like, but he's just fantastic and I can't even pinpoint why. He's cynical without being negative, if that makes any sense.

I am glad Angua didn't leave. I'm sure there's a future novel that has a 'she's leaving' subplot, which I really want to read. I think she and Carrot are an adorable couple, but then most things about Carrot are adorable. I wish I could have read 'Men At Arms' before I read this book, but I didn't realise it came before it. Apparently it's the book that introduces her to the Discworld, and I really should read that. She's a werewolf, ffs.

Cheri is also awesome. In fact, there's not a single character in the Watch I don't like. They're honestly my favourite set of characters, period. So, I think my next Discworld book will be abother Watch based one, and most likely 'Men At Arms'. </center>

Now I'm several chapters into 'New Moon' by Stephanie Meyer, and all I can say so far is I love how she did the passing of time (OCTOBER, NOVEMBER, DECEMBER, JANUARY) - very, very simple yet affective.

Man, it's going to take me forever to get used to sunlightdances and not Pinkishmew. Sorry about that!

That's fine! It took me about a week to remember what my new name was, and I was the one who had to log in using it. XD "Sun-lamp.. something? Sunlitdays? Autumnleaves? Oh, I don't know."
